Making the HPV vaccine (Gardasil and Cervarix) free for all young women under 26 years of age in Switzerland is encouraging unsuspecting, ill-informed persons to accept this vaccine - particularly Gardasil - when it has been called "dangerous" by credible scientists.
The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices of the Centers for Disease Control (and Prevention (CDC) advises that boys aged 11 and 12 and even as young as 9, and young men receive the HPV vaccine to protect them from throat or anal cancers resulting from sexual activity. The CDC has been recommending that adolescent girls be vaccinated since 2006, the date of the Federal Drug Administration’s approval of the vaccine. The vaccine is supposed to protect young women against cervical cancer, a cancer that presents a very low risk for women in developed countries.
Gardasil Victim Speaks Out After Two Years (5 min. - 3 June 2009)
Brittney gives an emotionally charged overview of what her life has been like for the past two years. She struggles daily with the fact her life has been forever changed. A doctor frightened her into taking the Gardasil vaccine by telling her she could get an HPV through a "possible" lab accident at college - where her blood could mingle with someone elses who had an HPV. She was never told HPV's are sexually transmitted diseases. Having no other information, she allowed herself to be given a vaccine she never needed. Now she wishes the TRUTH to be told - more testing of this vaccine is warranted before another young woman is injured.
